If your license was valid before you were cited and arrested for Driving Under the Influence, you will be able to use the DUI citation as your driver’s license for the next 10 days following your arrest.
Once I file for a Formal Review of your driving privileges, I will obtain for you a temporary permit which will allow you to drive for approximately an additional 40-45 days. This temporary driving permit will only allow you to drive for what is known as “Business Purposes Only”, and when you contact my office with your questions, I will explain to you exactly what this means.
I will fight for your driving rights at the scheduled Formal Administrative Hearing on your license within 40 days of the arrest date. If this hearing is won, you will have your original driving privileges restored.
